Also, the run to the bosses are arguably much harder.
However, in DS3 there are much more enemies in an area, probably to counter the insane amount of bonfires. Probably because the roll in DS3 is much faster. Areas - Dark Souls has barely any bonfires however I found running through the areas much harder as well.
Don't forget how small the amount of bonfires in DS1 is, so if you die in New Londo, you have to go ALL THE WAY BACK TO FIRELINK SHRINE!Ģ. You either have to run through New Londo and get to that one guy, buy a purging stone from the Well, What is it guy, or go to the bird in the Undead Asylum and trade a cracked red eye orb. For example when playing in The Depths I fell through the hole and got cursed and my HP was halved. Punishment for death - Dark Souls I is a lot more punishing.
